In addition to NEMA standards of 42, 48 and 56 frames, part sets are available in diameters from 70 to 370 mm (2.734 to 14.286 inches). Special motors are offered in 400 Hz, variable speed, hermetic, stainless steel, sealed, and explosion proof. MAC has substantial design experience in each, commercial, industrial and military applications.

Standard housed motors offer rugged, heavy duty rolled steel sleeves, aluminum die cast end bells, and double sealed ball bearings, which are life lubricated with wide temperature range greases.

Special designs are our standard. For space critical applications, we offer pancake or shorter than standard design, or use our part sets directly built into your product for the ultimate in compact design. High temperature motors use up to class H (180° Celsius) insulation systems. Varnish types exist allowing submergence in oil and compatibility with refrigerant gases. Alternately, windings can be encapsulated for even greater winding protection.
